Boy Seaman GAVIN BRANDRETH PARRY RAN 2248 A Tingara Boy who was discharged as an invalid in 1913 but enlisted in the AIF in April 1918 (O/N 66976). He was enroute to the UK when the war ended and his troopship was recalled. In WW2 he served in the Militia N154303 Gavin passed on the third of November 1974 and according to a family tree on Ancestry and "Find a Grave" his ashes are in the "General Plot" of the Newcastle Memorial Park. i'm not familiar with this cemetery so I don't know if the ashes are interred in a wall or whatever.
