On Leaving Tingira Norman served on HMAS Australia until being landed in the UK with illness, probably TB as he was discharged to shore to be admitted to a Sanitorium from Cerberus on the 6th of November 1918.
He passed away on Christmas Eve just 48 days after he was discharged from the RAN.
His mother Edith lived in Bega and he is buried in Bega Cemetery. Ancestry photo indicates it is a Tall stone with a cross in Anglican Section1, Row I, Plot 24A.
