Notes

Part of ANMEF operations in New Guinea in 1914. Hung himself in his home in Maxim Road Punchbowl following discharge from RAN. MF - Note two Service History Cards - 1st covered to to Promotion to Acting Boatswain then 2nd created for Boatswain Rank (altered to Officer 's recording system), Death at his own hand took place almost exactly one month from active to inactive service at 1/2 pay 16th July and death 15th August 1930. Therefore death is considered as taken place while still serving.
