Notes
Jeep accident Vietnam. Phil Cuskelly - The Canberra times ,via Trove,23rd June 1970,states he died in a jeep accident near Cam Ranh Bay.- From Ron Nordberg - Will try to chase down details later in the day, but basic story is that he died in a motor vehicle crash when the team occupied "The Cave" up the hill at Vung Tau. The road was not really well made and during a return to the Cave at night he crashed and was killed. Ironic when you consider the work the team was doing. From John Newell -I knew him well as an OD and NAAH at Albatross and on Melbourne and later as ABCD, a really top bloke and a good mate. Ron has his story right, he was killed in a jeep roll over in Vung Tau returning to the cave as I recall. All of us that knew him were shocked and saddened when we heard that he had died and how. Just for the record I am a short arse at 65 cm ( 5' 4 1/2" ) and he was a tad shorter but was I big man in many other ways.
