Late AIF & RAN. WW1 service number: 19073 (Australian Medical Corps). Gave his age on enlistment in the AIF as 18 1/2 when he was only 15 years and 9 months (DOB 05 Sep 1901). He was discharged from the AIF on 27 November 1917. According to newspaper reports, McNee was found dead in his kitchen in 35 Marion Street Leichhardt with a tube from the gas stove in his mouth.
