Notes

Tony Vine - Mack was a Torpedo specialist who in 1942 was posted to HMS Dolphin as a Commander on the staff of Flag Officer Submarines, Admiral Max Horton Arthur Mack served on loan with the RAN from 1924 to 1928 as a LCDR, including a period on HMAS Sydney (1) as the Australian Squadron Torpedo Officer. In 1925 Arthur married Susanna Mary Stewart of Adelaide in a society wedding in London. After his return to the RN he was promoted to Commander and in 1934 he was appointed in Command of the minesweeping sloop HMS Godetia. Godetia was a sister ship to HMAS Geranium and HMAS Marguerite.
