Seconded to RAAF 1932-1936. Experience with RN Torpedo squadrons, before returning to Australia. Served with RAAF Service on return. History Card states "Missing on flight to Darwin 01OCT1943" actually shot down on RAAF Catalina Torpedo attempt on Japanese shipping at Celebes and taken prisoner of war (POW) 1943 returned to Australia 27SEP1945.
