Notes

Battle of Sunda Straight Prisoner of War HMAS Perth 1942-03-01 to 1945-10-15 NGP Member Pete Radburn - "Horrid Abbott was a survivor from the sinking of HMAS Perth (I). I met him several times while serving in Perth (II). He was a real character and was one of the main characters in Ray Parkins Book 'Out of the Smoke'. His name in the book was Fatty. As I said, a real funny character and good friend of my late mate Vic Duncan".
