Notes

First Australian born man to join the Royal Navy. Son of LTCOL George Johnston of the NSW Corps who lead the action against the Irish convicts at the Castle Hill Rebellion in 1804 and his part in the Rum Rebellion. Originally buried in the family vault at Annandale and reinterred in Waverley Cemetery in 1888.
