Notes

Able Seaman Leo Thomas Baker RAN rests in Woronora Cemetery, he died as a result of a stabbing during an altercation with AB Alan Daziell RANR coming home onboard the Queen Mary 23 May 1941. Baker was to be discharged unsuitable on return to Australia. Daziell was found to have a case to answer by the Sydney Coroner in June 1941 and committed to stand trial. He was acquitted of murder that same month in the Central criminal Court Sydney. Daziell returned to service and was demob'ed in Dec 1945.
