Battle of Cocos Island - Served in HMAS Sydney (1) as a OS during the engagement with S.S. Emden at Cocos Islands. Tingira Boy. Reenlisted in the RAAF in WW2 (1942) as an AC1 and was then commissioned. Served as an Administrative and Special Duties Officer. Served with 73 SQN at Nowra and then in the Shipping and Movement Offices in Melbourne and Adelaide. Demobilized in Hobart in 1946. Possible photograph The Tingira Boys see Guy A Anderson.
